Arc Hub is compatible with the Macbook (2015 & 2016) and Macbook Pro (2016).
Yes Arc Hub is compatible with all Windows 10 OS laptops. Older versions of Windows is not supported.
Mac Laptops: Dual displays is supported but be both will displaying the same extended screen (In total you will have two unique desktops rather than three). This is due to a “one video output per port” restriction Apple has placed on it’s Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports. Unfortunately, until Apple updates the laptop’s firmware, there is no workaround for this.
Pass through charging is currently not supported on Dell Xps 13 & 15, Lenovo Yoga 900 & 910, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S. In most cases it’s due to a missing protocol that we do not have access to. We are currently looking for a solution and are in contact with the brands listed above.
Arc Hub and Bourge Design Cables are compatible with Thunderbolt 3 ports. Please note that while it is compatible, it will not attain the speeds of Thunderbolt 3 becuase the Arc Hub’s ports are USB-C and not Thunderbolt 3.
Yes, the Arc Hub can be used with all external hard drives. Please note that only one external hard drive may be plugged in due to power restrictions.
Yes, since the Arc Hub is equipped with a Mini Display port you can connect a VGA to MDP adapter to use with a projector or a DisplayPort to MDP cable to use with an external monitor.
Yes, the Arc Hub is equipped with an HDMI port and a Mini DisplayPort. The HDMI port outputs 4K@30hz with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and 1080p@60hz with a resolution of 1980 x 1080. The Mini DisplayPort outputs 4K@60hz with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (only compatible with laptops that can handle 60hz) and 1080p@60hz with a resolution of 1980 x 1080.
Yes, the Arc Hub comes with a second USB-C port that can be used to charge your laptop or USB-C device. Please note that the second USB-C port is for charging only and is not capable of data or video (Some Windows computers are excluded due to missing protocols in the laptop’s software that allows Arc Hub to charge the laptop). Charging is capped at 85W. Anything above rated 85W will be limited down to 85W to prevent overheating.
COMPATIBILITY RELATED QUESTIONS
